The
States General of the Green Economy, the annual meeting of Italian green economy, are promoted and organised by the
Sustainable Development Foundation, in collaboration with the
Ministry for environment and energy safety, the
European Commission and the Ministry of Enterprises and Made in Italy.
They serve as a key reference point for thousands of business and beyond. Between 2012 and 2025, they have engaged more than
9000 stakeholders.
Now at its 15th edition, the 2026 States General of the Green Economy are dedicated to
"International drivers of the Green Economy in a challenging geopolitical context" and will be held in Rimini Expo Center, hosted by Ecomondo – Italian exhibition Group, on the 3 and 4 of November 2026.
THE SESSIONS:
- Opening Plenary Session - 3 November Morning
International drivers of the Green Economy in a challenging geopolitical contextPresentation of the 2026 State of the Green Economy Report, providing an overview of the prospects for the global and Italian green economy in the evolving international scenario. The session will feature a high-level discussion on the economic, policy, and industrial dimensions of the ecological transition.
- International Plenary Session - 4 November Morning
Green economy perspectives in unpredictable global scenarioThis session will focus on decarbonization, circularity, and regeneration in the global context, fostering a dialogue between policies, markets, and investments across the world's major regions (Europe, the United States, China, and Africa). Combining data-driven insights with institutional and business perspectives, the discussion will explore the challenges and opportunities shaping the future of the green economy. Session in English with simultaneous translation
